About

Over the next few weeks I am testing  piloting the site – hopefully we will be able to launch soon!

If you have any ideas then please get in touch or if you think the site is worth a shout out please share… thanks!

The site…

Designed with start-ups and SME’s (small and medium enterprises) in mind the site provides links to typically free resources which have been evaluated for credibility saving you time and hassle – whatever you are looking for.  Links vary from large corporates, government backed organisations, professional service firms, technology companies, local support organisations, industry bodies, charities and individuals.

Why…

There’s so much information and support out there but where to start can be daunting. Small businesses and start-ups typically have limited money and entrepreneurs are expected to understand many areas such of running a business. Like most companies starting out or expanding you will also need to research your target market – doing it yourself is cheap but you have to invest your time if you expect to get anything useful from it. The internet can be used to perform virtual fact finding and if you persevere you can find an incredible amount of information for free.

How…

As an accountant working in corporate finance I helped contribute to business plans for small and medium sized businesses. I covered a variety of different industries and geographical locations for both start-ups and existing companies throughout the UK. This stemmed a wider interest in start-ups and small businesses. I have used this experience to identify the free business resources – a pain staking task but one that will hopefully be useful to others out there… I hope!

Your role…

Know any business resources that would benefit others? Please don’t keep them to yourself and use the submit resources option if you can’t find them on the site. Any ideas on how to improve the site or to work with us please use the contact us form.
